  • From the Shores of the East China Sea to the Foot of the Tianshan Mountains | 2026

Midsummer marks a new journey, gathering strength for development. To further strengthen talent pipeline construction, enhance linkage and communication between the headquarters and the two major bases of Baiquan and Daishan, enrich employees' spare-time cultural life, and motivate everyone to invest in work and life with a more high-spirited fighting spirit and positive attitude, from August 12 to September 15, Huafeng Shipbuilding organized more than 400 employees in five batches to travel to Xinjiang for a "Crossing Mountains and Seas" themed tourism team-building activity. From the shores of the East China Sea to the foot of the Tianshan Mountains, they embarked on a date with Xinjiang. The seven-day core itinerary spanned northern Xinjiang, heading west all the way, chasing wind and freedom.

The first stop was the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Military Reclamation Museum in Shihezi, formerly known as the "First Building of Military Reclamation." The military overcoat with 296 patches, rusty reclamation farm tools, and yellowed old photos wove together the eventful years of a generation who "beat swords into plowshares and cultivated and guarded the border," allowing Huafeng people to understand the weight of taking root and perseverance in the echoes of history.

Then they went deep into the Mutartar Desert. Partners drove Bombardier off-road vehicles speeding and drifting among sand dunes, a twist of the steering wheel making a neat turn with wind filling their sleeves; teams took off-road vehicles over sand ridges, the vehicles leaping into the air and crashing heavily into the sea of sand, with exclamations and laughter flying together, speed and passion at full throttle; they rode camels together, slowly swaying across continuous sand dunes, leaving the fatigue of the city completely behind.

Sayram Lake arrived as promised. This drop of "the last tear of the Atlantic Ocean" was so blue that it left people speechless. Partners stood along the lake, echoing the clear water from afar. Some opened their arms to embrace the oncoming wind, some shouted their thoughts loudly toward the lake surface — there is always a breeze or two in this world, filling my 108,000 dreams.

In the evening, a dinner party was held in Liuxing Street. The whole roasted lamb ceremony made a grand entrance, with the team's "Bayi Lord" cutting the ribbon for the lamb, the golden and oily meat overflowing with fragrance; the clinking of Wusu beer glasses rose one after another, and dishes such as sauce-soaked tofu skin rolls, Xinjiang big plate chicken, and qiamagu (local turnip) were served in turn, with partners feasting heartily. After three rounds of drinks, Uyghur girls danced gracefully to the drumbeats, their skirts blooming like flowers. As the bonfire blazed, everyone held hands in a big circle, singing and dancing. Those who couldn't dance were also swept up by the atmosphere and joined in. Singing, laughter, and cheers echoed in the night for a long time, pushing the team-building atmosphere to its climax.

The Nalati Sky Grassland spread out in the hinterland of the Tianshan Mountains. The trust of riding the same horse together, the tacit understanding of giving each other a hand when reaching the summit, and the joy of shouting in unison toward the boundless grassland brought colleagues who usually stick to their own posts closer together between heaven and earth. Everyone strolled chasing the wind, opening their hearts, chatting and laughing heartily. The sense of distance between colleagues quietly melted away, forging a sense of belonging of walking side by side.

Along the way, they crossed the northern section of the Duku Highway, experiencing four seasons in one day and different weather every ten miles; the Tangbala Hundred-Mile Gallery was like a flowing long scroll. Partners hiked together to enjoy the scenery, walking along the stream, chatting and laughing, occasionally gathering together to take photos with peace signs, walking and laughing all the way, sprinkling laughter and joy into every scene on the northern foot of the Tianshan Mountains. Afterwards, they entered the International Grand Bazaar, where ethnic commerce and cuisine intertwined. Everyone went shopping together and shared snacks, drawing a successful conclusion to the journey in the midst of bustling daily life.

The meaning of a journey has never been just about the scenery, but more about drawing upward strength from the journey. When communicating with everyone, Chairman Wu Zhixiang mentioned that this year has seen frequent typhoon weather, bringing many challenges to production operations, with significant pressure on schedule progress. He encouraged everyone to bring the cohesion gathered during team-building back to their posts, to pull together as one rope and muster full strength in the next stage, to face difficulties and overcome challenges, and to fully ensure the smooth advancement of various project milestones. May we keep the vastness and heroism of Xinjiang in our hearts, and with this spirit of "fire in the heart, light in the eyes," invest in work with firmer conviction and a more high-spirited attitude, walking hand in hand to the next journey across mountains and seas!
